Star Finale...dun dun dunnnnnnn

Earlier this year, I stopped watching Empire and started watching Star on FOX, because I don’t always make sense.

I stopped watching Empire, because it got too dramatic. Yeah, I said TOO dramatic. I am convinced people were getting shot/killed every episode and no one can tell me otherwise. Of course, I will go back and binge watch this last season when I’m bored over the summer, so I didn’t really give it up.

Now, I started watching Star, because legit, I wasn’t doing anything else. But, I think subconsciously I knew it would be the same exact show as Empire. Because it is, and I only needed to watch one.

Now there are good things about Star, like the music and the cast. But there are also things that make my skin crawl, like perpetuating the ideal that reverse racism is a thing. Which it is NOT.

But I digress.

Tonight, was the season finale of Star, and it was actually really good.

I found myself rooting for the girls to win the Atlanta Next Fest, and for Star to remember who the hell she was.

And remember she did, but not without the assist from my favorite character Simone!

REAL SPOILERS

Shit hit the fan within the last 10 minutes and I was living!!

Hunter and Eva were both murdered and it was all Jahil's fault.... but I can guarantee you no one, especially myself, felt too bad about it. THEY WERE EVILLLL.

But, I wonder how Jahil is going to explain two dead bodies in his bed.

It was karma reimagined.

Our favorite stylist was arrested for grand larceny, poor Cotton!! It was unclear if they got through her surgery or not though. But damn, damn, damn. I will be rooting for Cotton next season, I don't know how she'll get out of it.

The girls SLAYED and won the competition, no help from Big Boi.

Finally, Alex and Derek! WTH is going on there?? Like Derek is still facing jail time, which he must deal with on top of the fact that HE CAN'T WALK.

Which by the way, he never told Alex during the discussions on whether to keep their baby or not. MESSY.

So, I can only assume Alex will find this information out when it’s time for him to leave the hospital.

But, how she's going to tour pregnant. I cannot wait to see.

I said all this information to say, I will be tuning in for season 2, drama and all.
