Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 4: Dracarys

This week in Westeros I was reminded of a very important lesson; never hope, never dream, never want and never wish when playing the Game of Thrones.
It's important that we all remember this lesson and keep it in mind moving forward.
After the white walkers were defeated by the one true Night King Slayer of the North, it was time for the living to celebrate, because no one can actually believe that they are still alive. Some, *Samwell Tarly* most definitely should not be.
Daenerys has taken this opportunity to remind the peasants that she is still in charge. She throws a little title Gendry’s way, claiming he is bastard no more! However, there was not nearly enough love and appreciation for our Queen, Arya Stark. There should have been replays from every angle of that Night King slaying. But no, all we get is a weak ass proposal from Gendry Baratheon. PASS.
The irony of Dany’s display is recognizing this bastard’s birthright deters him from seeking the throne but recognizing the “bastard’ beside her will most definitely make her lose it.
She realizes this and she is irked!
Jon, the lovable fool, is oblivious as usual. The Mother of Dragons is not taking chances. She demands his silence. If he’s loyal, he will not tell another living soul he has a claim to the throne. Now watching this the first time, I might have been a bit hasty and dramatic. I think I said something along the lines of “OH HELL NO! Stop being selfish. You are not the heir. Your life is a lie. Move on.”
However, I have since realized something. Jon is the worst and he can’t even say “I love you” back.
SN: They don’t give a f*ck about family relations, that’s the LEAST of their worries.
Jon has not done one thing to actually deserve Daenerys’ love! I see why she is frustrated as I too love Jon Snow, but I don’t really know why! She asked this man for ONE thing. ONE. I mean other than giving up his claim to the North by bending the knee and risking his life to fight beside her or whatever, ONE THING and he couldn’t even do that. Why??
THE MAN CAN NOT TELL A LIE! If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it every recap. Lying literally saves lives and he refuses to do it.
Knowing this, however, I was not surprised in the slightest that he told his sister-cousins the truth. I actually appreciated it because somewhere along these last four weeks my allegiance has shifted from Daenerys to Sansa and I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING!
Maybe I just go where Arya goes, because if my Queen is ride or die for Sansa so am I!
Meanwhile, Sansa has no problem telling a lie. It took her all of 5 seconds to spill the beans to Tyrion because she doesn’t have time for secrets! She’s suffered through one tyrant already, she can’t leave the protection of her people in the hands of someone she doesn't’ know (or trust). She needs a sure thing or a sure king.
SN: If I’m Sam, I’m telling regardless.
We can’t move on from Winterfell without discussing our two favorite knights (or at least the only knights still alive?) Sir Brienne and Jaime. Wow, A MESS.
I was so happy for my girl Brienne! Her thirsting after Jaime was getting uncomfortable to watch. I was even a little proud of Jaime, it took a lot for him to sleep with someone that wasn’t his twin sister. He’s shown growth. OR SO I BELIEVED.
It was too good to be true. There is no happiness in Game of Thrones! I let my guard down and Brienne’s “pick me. choose me. love me” ass got her heart broken in the process. I blame myself.
Now while many believe that Jaime’s highly disrespectful curve of Brienne was him going back to be with Cersei, I didn’t really get that message. Yeah, he ain’t shit. But he’s not Cersei-level ain't shit. I do believe Jaime is going back to try and stop Cersei, but mostly fail and probably die in the process.
Which leads us to King’s Landing.
FINALLY! I was so over the North, to be honest. I’m not afraid to admit that I missed Cersei! The bitch is pure comedy.
While these fools fought in the North losing half their forces, she saved her men and planned her attack. SHE WAS READY! She had not just one little dragon killing machine, but multiple!!
Do you know who was not ready? Daenerys, once again.
R.I.P Rhaegal, gone too damn soon. You deserved better, it should have been Drogon.
Within a blink of an eye, their fleet was demolished and they were down a dragon. That’s like another quarter of the army right there!
Not only that, but they captured Missandei. How? We will never know. I mean did they swoop down into the ocean on a dragon of their own and snatch her up from the wreckage? Was she just chilling in the water waiting to get picked up? *If you try to find logic in this last season, you will drive yourself insane.*
Daenerys has always been in a constant state of pissed off lately, but now you can see the fire burning within her. She’s had enough of Cersei’s shit. There’s no more talking she’s ready to take her out, whatever it takes.
Varys doesn’t recommend this as Cersei has used human beings to barricade herself in the castle (HILARIOUS! She’s so evil and not a single f*ck was given).
You know when I first watched the episode, I too was hasty and believed she had lost her damn mind. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that she has had the only logical plans and that these damn men cannot be trusted! None of this was her fault at all, IT'S TYRION’S FAULT!
He is an absolute trash ass garbage hand and he had the AUDACITY to lay the foundation for a coup! He knows damn well that Varys can’t keep his mouth shut for shit. When he said, “soon 8 will become hundreds,” that was the translation for “oh, I’m telling everyone it’s already done.” Tyrion just didn’t want to do the dirty work himself so he can pretend to be loyal and come up with shitty ass plans!!
Let’s think about this; Daenerys had dragons. Her plan: burn shit down. What does Tyrion suggest? Not burning shit down. Then what happens? Umm only Cersei kills all her allies. Then what is she forced to do? BURN SHIT DOWN. It’s a constant messed up cycle. No other bright plans emerge from this group of useless ass advisors.
I truly believe Missandei recognized this in her last moments. Like, “wow, my Queen is surrounded by idiots, please kill all of these people.”

WHAT OTHER CHOICE IS SHE LEFT WITH!? I am outraged for her! It’s not her fault that she has to kill a bunch of innocent people to take down a tyrant. She did not put them there! Cersei put them there! We’re in the end game now! Let’s talk about the future because what’s best for seven realms is not Cersei. Sucks for them in the castle, but the next group of people won’t have these problems.
Lastly, I would also like to point out in my “Tyrion is trash” campaign that he really put Cersei’s baby news on blast in front of everyone when she hasn’t seen him in like a couple of fortnights! She just slept with Euron last week and told him the news 20 minutes ago, so how would he even know? I truly believe that’s what got Missandei decapitated. It would have happened regardless, and Euron’s an idiot who probably didn’t even notice, but I still choose to blame Tyrion.
SN: We’re not going to talk about Grey Worm’s reaction because it’s too painful.
Finally Thoughts
Can Bran die? Like seriously, can they kill him? Because I’m over his attitude.
I hope Gendry Baratheon finds a lady, I do (now he’ll most likely die because I hoped).
Tormund was the best thing this show had going for them and now he’s gone.
If Jaime really is on his way to kill Cersei, who will get there first? Him or Arya?
There's only two more episodes and plenty of people to kill off, see ya next week!
